Exclases Group presented the FirstFlight aviation training device in Russia for the first time at the 11th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition, HeliRussia 2018, which was held at Crocus Expo, Moscow, from 24 to 16 May. The device emulates a helicopter cabin and can be configured for various models of Leonardo helicopters.
Designed for training in basic procedures, learning of instruments and avionics, and studying autopilot logic, FirstFlight was a novelty at the event, generating great interest among specialists. With touchscreen displays and the option to install a projector, the simulator is relatively simple and accessible for piloting training and retraining.
The 12,000 visitors to HeliRussia 2018 were also able to see a GrandNew helicopter, which combines all the distinctive Leonardo features: speed, beauty, power, and dynamics.
Exclases Group also partnered with the “Air Rescue and Emergency Medical Services of Russia” practical scientific conference, which was held within the framework of the HeliRussia 2018 business program.
On the back of Exclases Group’s sponsorship, Air Medical Service Director of Leonardo Helicopters, Mr. Domenico Bubbico, addressed conference participants about training of helicopter medical service staff. Mr. Stefan Becker, Head of Corporate Development of Swiss rescue company REGA, who attended at the invitation of Exclases Group, described how to teach staff to perform rescue operations at high altitudes.
