The 9th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition, HeliRussia 2016 – the largest event of its kind in Europe – was held in Moscow from 19 to 21 May; Exclases Group – the exclusive distributor of AgustaWestland helicopters in Russia and CIS countries – was a prime sponsor of the event.
Exclases Group showcased the intermediate twin-engine AW139 – the most popular in Russia – and a VIP version of the light single-engine AW119Kе to the 11,000+ visitors to the exhibition.
Demonstration of the AW169 VIP cabin was also met with huge interest. This helicopter had recently broken into the world market, having been certified by the EASA in 2015. Russian certification of this type of aircraft is planned to get underway following receipt of firm orders from Russian operators.
